Help 1 - Apache won't start

If Apache has worked in the past, but no longer starts, then the number 1 reason is that you have an error in your Virtual Hosts conf file. All it will take is an incorrect path (perhaps to a local web site you have since deleted), or a path to a log file that doesn't exist, and Apache will fail to run.

If all of your paths are 100% correct then check the file and folder permissions. If the log files or www_logs folders are set to read-only then Apache will be unable to write to them, and will fail to start.

If you've changed something in your PHP configuration, such as enabling a new module, and Apache no longer starts then debug the module settings. This guide will help you.
